As soon as the spring sun comes out and the snow starts to melt, everybody assumes it’s game over for skiing season until next year, but we’re here to set the record straight. At Wachusett, the party’s not over ‘till it’s over—and we have plenty of spring events (and snow!) to keep all of our guests busy and having fun as the weather warms up. Let’s dig into what we have coming up.
March 28th – Magical Comedy Night
We love magic, and we love comedy, so it seemed natural to bring these two together. Hosted in our Black Diamond restaurant, this magic-themed show will feature the talents of popular magicians Joe Howard, Matt Roberts, Steve Kradolfer, and Eddie Raymond. The show starts at 8 p.m., but the doors open at 7. Get here early and grab a good seat.
March 30th – Cardboard Box Race
The soap box derby meets downhill skiing in Wachusett’s Cardboard Box Race. This is a great family-friendly event that will test your kids’ creativity in assembling a downhill racer entirely from cardboard, duct tape, and decorations. Registration starts at 10:30 a.m. on the back deck of O’Brien’s.
March 30th – 31st – Season Pass Holder Appreciation Weekend
We love all of our guests, but our season pass holders have a special place in our hearts. To show our appreciation, we’re inviting all season pass holders to an annual spring event, our celebratory weekend with some great features lined up:
- Deck party and outdoor BBQ (weather permitting)
- Sale at MTNside Ski & Ride Shop with 35% off select gear
- Discounted rates for next season’s pass purchases
- Friends and Family rate for all Bronze Pass holders
April 5th – Wachusett Brewery Beer Dinner
For our adult guests, we have the Wachusett Brewery Beer Dinner. This is a one-of-a-kind experience that will give you the opportunity to taste a wide selection of Wachusett Brewery’s limited-release beers, expertly paired with four-course menu items and select cheese from the Cabot Creamery.
April 7th – Pond Skim
The perfect spring event for both ski experts and newbies alike, the Pond Skim is our way of closing out the skiing season with a bang. Gear up in your wildest costume and careen down the slope into our man-made pond. Prizes will be awarded for Best Run, Best Costume, and Best Splash, so don’t be afraid to give it a try!
