The Ultimate Ski Day for Foodies!

Skiing and food. Is there any better combo?

You’re destined for great things during your day on Wachusett Mountain, and we aren’t talking about the skiing. We’re talking about the FOOD!

We don’t like to brag, but our food is kind of a big deal. Ski Magazine readers consistently rank Wachusett among the Best in the East for On-Mountain Food, and we’re a past winner of the “Best Entrée” award at the annual “Taste of Wachusett” exhibition, sponsored by the Wachusett Chamber of Commerce.

In other words, these locales are a great way to turn your ski trip into an OMG trip. (We’ll see ourselves out.)

The Black Diamond

The Black Diamond restaurant is located right in the main ski lodge so you won’t have to go far. Get a taste for the gourmet with burgers, pasta, steak tips, specialty entrées, and famous NASTAR Nachos, all complemented with bar service featuring a great selection of local and draft beers.

O’Brien’s Deck Bar & Grill

Sun and beer, spring is here!

This brand-new outdoor pub is a must see. Located adjacent to the main lodge, O’Brien’s features great draft beer and fun, kid-friendly options like artisan grilled cheese—but it’s the outdoor seating that will really win you over. Sitting on a beautiful deck with a centrally-located firepit, O’Brien’s will make you feel right at home here on the mountain.

The Waffle Cabin

The Waffle Cabin at Wachusett

You want waffles? We’ve got waffles. And you won’t even need to leave the slopes. Take a break between runs and grab a freshly-baked Belgian sugar waffle from this on-mountain stand located just off the main trail. You’ll be glad you did.

Bullock Lodge Cider House & The Core

Need something hot to beat the cold? The Bullock Lodge Cider House, operated by Red Apple Farms, is situated right on the mountain in a rustic log cabin that’s over 80 years old and always features a roaring fire. Indulge in mouth-watering hot cider donuts, apple turnovers, fresh fudge, hot cider, and coffee – all without leaving the slopes! Winter has never been cozier.

The Core is another spot operated by Red Apple Farms, this one is in the main lodge and it’s your one-stop-shop for all things crisp and apple-y. Enjoy a light apple cider or indulge in fresh cider donuts, handmade fudge, candies, and more. There are no wrong options here—share these great treats with your family or keep them to yourself. We won’t tell.

The Coppertop Lounge

Need a place to relax after an exhausting ski day? We recommend the Coppertop Lounge, it’s sort of our main gathering spot once you’ve head inside form the slopes.  This hotspot specializes in cocktails and features a wide selection of liquors, local craft beers, and wines. Enjoy an appetizer as you relax and make sure you catch the live music every Thursday – Sunday.

The T-Bar

Situated within the Coppertop Lounge, the T-Bar relishes in pub-style dining, with gourmet burgers, quesadillas, and a full Tapas menu. True to its name, the T-Bar also happens to be a great place to get your drink on—we recommend checking out the Bloody Mary bar on Saturdays and Sundays. There’s celery. There’s bacon. We’re not saying it’ll change your life, but the fact is that your life will never be the same after. Check it out!

Café Food Court

Need a fast fuel-up before heading outside? The Café Food Court is your answer. Featuring a full hot breakfast served every morning and a delicious, comprehensive lunch and dinner menu of soups, salads, burgers, chicken fingers, chili, and sandwiches and more. You and your kids won’t leave hungry.

Balance Rock Coffee Company

Hot coffee is perfect for the mountain. Hot coffee is perfect for everything. Get your fix at Balance Rock Coffee Company, a great mountainside shop brewing up made-to-order lattes, espresso, hot chocolate, and specialty teas. Stay and relax or get yours to-go for an early morning boost—the slopes are waiting!
